Das lebhafte Dorf Grand Baie, auch bekannt als Grand Bay, liegt in einer hufeisenförmigen geschützten Bucht um eine smaragdgrüne Lagune an der Nordwestküste. Hier herrscht eine lebhafte Atmosphäre, es gibt tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und rund 50 Cafés und Restaurants säumen die Bucht und die Küstenstraße nach Pereybère.
Grand Baie bietet auch das beste Nachtleben der Insel! Es gibt Strandclubs, coole Bars und fantastische Lokale. Außerdem gibt es eine Reihe von Nachtclubs, die hauptsächlich freitags und samstags geöffnet sind, sowie die Möglichkeit, Jam-Sessions, Live-Bands und Sega-Auftritte unter der Woche zu erleben.
