Le Pouce, benannt nach seiner Daumenform, ist der dritthöchste Berg auf Mauritius und bietet eine großartige Aussicht über Port Louis. Die Wanderung ist für diejenigen geeignet, die sich einer Herausforderung stellen möchten. Der 812 Meter hohe Aufstieg führt Sie in zum Gipfel, wo Sie das Gefühl haben, auf der Spitze der Welt zu sein.
Die Wanderung zum Gipfel und zurück dauert etwa drei bis vier Stunden entlang dem markierten Weg. Beginnen Sie früh, um die Hitze zu vermeiden, und tragen Sie geeignetes Schuhwerk für das felsige Gelände und den letzten Aufstieg zum Gipfel. Sie treten in die Fußstapfen von Charles Darwin, der es 1836 auf den Gipfel schaffte. Die 360-Grad-Aussicht ist spektakulär, vergessen Sie also nicht Ihre Kamera!
