You’ll find La Cambuse Beach on the southeast coast of the island, around a 10-minute drive from the international airport. This is a beautiful, wide stretch of sand that feels very unspoilt, with trees providing natural shade and picnic benches available to enjoy lunch with a view. Gaze out over the lagoon and watch the waves crashing on this wild and stunning coastline. The currents in the water can be strong here, so worth noting if you are going for a swim. To make a day of it, take your hiking shoes and cross rocky terrain to discover a trail leading to Le Bouchon and onwards towards Pont Naturel’s bridge-like cliff or Le Souffleur’s rugged and unique landscape.
