Located on the west coast of the island between Port Louis and Flic-en-Flac, Albion is a quiet little village home to a generous stretch of beach. Its soft golden sand is lapped by clear, calm water that offers you the chance to enjoy a snorkelling session. In the evening, it’s a prime sunset-watching spot, as the light often turns the ocean a fiery orange colour.
Albion’s craggy shores are famous for its 19th-century Lighthouse of Pointe aux Caves, also known as Albion Lighthouse, which stands 30 metres tall and is still in operation today. Its red stripes cut a dramatic image against the crashing waves below. Enjoy the spectacular, windswept views with a walk or bike ride along this beautiful coastline.
